One of the biggest complaints in Firefox , irrespective of its version, is the time it takes to load Firefox. Sometimes even warm start takes long and that too even without significant effect of installed extensions.
Speedy fox is a simple tool meant to optimize the fragmentation of databases of Firefox which store user data. All you need to do is install and launch the program. The default profile of the Firefox is already selected in the program and you can optimize it. If you use a portable version of Firefox you need to manually search for the location of the database and then the software will optimize it.
The utility also has the option to take command line options to the location of Firefox to automate optimization with a batch file/ scheduler. Note though that Firefox should be closed to optimize the databases properly.
It can be downloaded from : SpeedyFox - Boost Firefox in a Single Click! | CRYSTALIDEA Software

- Know your visitors
- Know how they connect to the internet. If your visitors are using dial-up connections your site may take longer to load if there are too many graphics.
- Make sure that you are publishing content that will keep your visitors interested and coming back.
- Stay focused
- Your site has a theme or a purpose, so make sure you stick to it. Don't add graphics or text just to fill space.
- Use pictures wisely
- Using pictures can help you communicate effectively without having to use tons of words. Make sure you are using pictures that convey your message.
- Make sure that you are using the right size pictures. Large pictures can take a long time to load which becomes a road-block for visitors. You may want to use thumbnails on the main page then link to a page with larger images.
